Mark graduated from University of Toronto with a Honors Bachelor of Science degree, double majoring in Human Biology and Psychology. With an interest in the science and healthcare field, Mark had the chance to visit one of the largest state-of-the-art dental laboratories in Taiwan. Peaking his interest in the field that combined health, art, and technology, he was introduced to the dental field and started to intern at the laboratory in Taiwan. The laboratory was one of the leading early adopters in digital dentistry so Mark was able to learn how to implement CAD/CAM into dentistry at an early point in his career.
Continuing his passion for Canada, he studied Dental Technology at George Brown College for 3 years and graduated with Honors to be on the Dean’s list. Upon graduation, Mark immediately started working and after a year, received his RDT license to start his own fully digital dental laboratory facility, Smilden Biotech (Canada), located in Richmond Hill. Using the latest software and machining equipment, Mark is well equipped in handling all cases traditionally and digitally. As a member of the Association of Dental Technologists of Ontario, Mark strives to continue learning through webinars and courses of new techniques and technologies in the ever growing field of dentistry.
Mark, and Fatima have been collaborating with each other since 2019 to be a well established and Pioneer in all aspects of the digital laboratory job and digital dentistry.
